麻豆精品 will welcome聽Professor Maria McKenna of the University of Notre Dame听辞苍听Thursday, March 26 at 6:00 p.m.聽in the Gailliot Center for a Hesburgh Lecture titled聽鈥淵outh & Young Adult Civic Engagement in a Complicated World.鈥�

Rooted in Carlow鈥檚 Catholic Mercy tradition 鈥� which calls the University community to educate for justice, ethical leadership, and service to the common good 鈥� this public lecture invites reflection on how institutions of higher education can cultivate informed, compassionate civic participation in an increasingly complex world.

Drawing on more than two decades of research with youth and college students, McKenna will explore how young people understand education, community development, and civic responsibility today. Through photography, research insights, and dialogue, she will examine how colleges and communities can support the development of healthy, sustained civic engagement among the next generation.

Carlow鈥檚 hosting of this lecture underscores its dedication to creating spaces where faith, reason, and public life intersect in service to justice and human dignity.
