Welcome to our online event focused on聽Supporting Students on the Autism Spectrum! Teaching students on the autism spectrum requires equal parts knowledge, creativity, and heart. In this session, you鈥檒l gain practical strategies to help students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally鈥攚hether you work in an inclusive setting or a specialized classroom. We鈥檒l explore how to build authentic relationships, foster communication, and encourage independence, while also addressing common sensory needs that can impact learning. Through real examples, tools you can use right away, and a focus on dignity-centered teaching, you鈥檒l leave with fresh ideas and confidence to make your classroom a place where every student can succeed.

Dr. Jennifer Do, Ed.D., ATR-BC, LPC, is a program director at the Watson Institute WISCA program, a specialized education setting for students with autism. With a background in art therapy, counseling, and special education, she has over two decades of experience in specialized programs, training educators, and implementing evidence-based strategies for students with complex learning needs. Dr. Do is the creator of the Yope Coaching Toolbox, a research-backed instructional coaching model, and is passionate about building staff capacity to support the success and dignity of every learner.聽
