How You Can SupportDr. Lee is devoted to advancing excellence in nursing education through thoughtful curriculum design, meaningful student engagement, and collaborative academic leadership. Her work centers on creating learning experiences that are both rigorous and relevant鈥攑reparing graduates not only to meet professional standards, but to stand out as confident, evidence-informed nurses equipped to serve others with skill and integrity.
As a faculty member and program leader in RN-to-BSN education, Debra is particularly committed to aligning curriculum with accreditation standards and the evolving expectations of baccalaureate nursing preparation. She approaches curricular development as both a scholarly and practical endeavor, ensuring that program outcomes reflect current professional competencies while supporting the formation of nurses who understand their role in promoting the well-being of individuals, families, and communities.
Debra is equally devoted to the student experience, designing courses that foster growth in clinical reasoning, written communication, and evidence-based decision making. She believes that learning is most meaningful when students are encouraged to think deeply, reflect on their practice, and recognize the broader impact of their work in caring for others. Her teaching emphasizes clarity, encouragement, and the development of professional confidence grounded in purpose.
In her leadership, Debra values collaboration, mentorship, and shared purpose. She seeks to cultivate learning environments that reflect respect, integrity, and a commitment to the common good through partnership among faculty, students, and clinical stakeholders.
Her scholarly interests include curricular innovation, the integration of evidence-based practice across nursing education, and the development of learning experiences that support both academic success and professional identity formation. Through this work, she remains committed to preparing nurses who are not only competent, but also thoughtful contributors to compassionate, high-quality care.
