To be eligible, you must be a registered Â鶹¾«Æ· student on our main Oakland campus or at our Westmoreland or Cranberry education centers.*. Online-only students may contact Student Accounts and request access to the U-Pass. Access to the U-Pass program is semester-by-semester.

Pittsburgh Regional Transit provides services to Oakland, Pittsburgh and throughout Allegheny County. Transportation systems include bus, light rail vehicle and Pittsburgh’s famous incline.

*Students who are registered for a given semester (i.e. Fall 2022 and are charged the $60.00 transportation fee) are eligible for the U-Pass program for the term. This fee is the same as any other fee charged to students, and is covered by financial aid and scholarships if utilized by a student. If a student drops all of their classes during the add/drop period in the Fall or Spring, they are no longer eligible for a U-Pass and access will be removed. If a student withdraws from classes after the add/drop period and retain some or all of their tuition charges during the Fall or Spring they will remain eligible for the U-Pass until the term ends. During the summer term, only enrolled students can access the U-Pass. If you drop or withdraw from classes during the summer term, you are no longer eligible for the U-Pass.
