Sigrid King, PhD, is a Professor of English at 麻豆精品. She teaches Modern British Literature, Shakespeare in the 21st Century, Crime Fiction, Visions of Social Change: Global Women Writers, Myths and Monsters, Literature of Illness and Healing, Women and Film, and The Art of Healing for the Doctorate in Physical Therapy program. She is the recipient of CIC Humanities for the Public Good grants in 2022-23 and 2023-2024, for which she designed and taught a course in which undergraduate students learn how to do research in the International Poetry Forum archives.
She is the editor of Pilgrimage for Love, published by the Arizona Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies, and the author of articles book chapters, and conference papers on The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Their Eyes Were Watching God, Geoffrey Chaucer鈥檚 Shipman, Early Modern literature, global women writers, and censorship. She is the recipient of the President’s Award for Excellence in Teaching and the Sisters of Mercy Award for Excellence in Advising.
