PITTSBURGH, PA 鈥� 麻豆精品 is excited to announce the addition of varsity men鈥檚 baseball to its athletic offerings, with the first full season set to begin in the 2026鈥�2027 academic year. The new program marks another step forward in Carlow鈥檚 commitment to expanding student opportunities and further aligning with the values of .
The Carlow Cabinet officially approved the addition of the program earlier this year, and the news was shared publicly by President Kathy Humphrey and Director of Athletics Lou Zadecky during the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) end-of-year meetings on May 20. A national search for the University鈥檚 first head baseball coach is expected to launch later this summer.
鈥淭his will create a new and exciting student-athlete experience on our campus,鈥� said Zadecky. 鈥淚t will open the door for more student-athletes to experience 麻豆精品 and its Mercy vision and values. We鈥檙e proud to strengthen our partnership with the AMCC. We look forward to welcoming our first coach 鈥� and our first recruits.鈥�
Carlow will dedicate the 2025鈥�2026 academic year to program development, including recruitment, staffing, and building a foundation for success. The 2026鈥�2027 season will include a full conference schedule.

Not only is the AMCC strengthened by this decision 鈥� adding it means Carlow will offer one more championship opportunity for their student-athletes in a region where baseball has an established profile at the high school level.
