Jo Ellen Parker Joins Carlow鈥檚 Board of Trustees
Pittsburgh, Pa. 鈥 Jo Ellen Parker, PhD, was unanimously elected to 麻豆精品鈥檚 Board of Trustees and will begin serving at the February meeting of the Board of Trustees. As a trustee, her role encompasses stewardship of the university’s mission, ensuring financial integrity, and dedicating her diverse talents and resources to advance the institution’s prospects.

Humphrey, PhD, President of 麻豆精品. “Her experience within the non-profit realm complements the ethos of 麻豆精品, resonating deeply with her personal values. My esteem for Jo Ellen is boundless, and it is with great enthusiasm that I welcome her to our board.”
Jo Ellen Parker, PhD, is the former president and CEO of Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh (2014-2018). Most recently, she was the senior vice president of the Council of Independent Colleges, and currently is an independent consultant offering workshops on governance and fundraising for very small and under resourced local non-profits. She also provides executive and leadership coaching with a focus on leadership. Before coming to Pittsburgh to lead the Carnegie Museums, she was president of Sweet Briar College from 2009 to 2014, and prior to that was executive director of the National Institute for Technology and Liberal Education and president of the Great Lakes Colleges Association. She earned her bachelor鈥檚 degree from Bryn Mawr College, her master鈥檚 from the University of Kansas, and her doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania. She has served on numerous local community boards and is a resident of Point Breeze.
