This clinically focused conference is designed for providers seeking to strengthen their pharmacology expertise and apply current evidence, practical strategies, and real-world insights to support safe, effective prescribing.

Sessions will highlight key dosing strategies and safety considerations to promote optimal outcomes while minimizing risk. Whether you are early in practice or an experienced clinician, this conference offers practical tools you can immediately apply in prescribing decisions.

Carlow鈥檚 preceptor program offers experienced healthcare professionals a unique opportunity to guide and inspire future nurse practitioners. Preceptors play a vital role in preparing students to lead with empathy, navigate healthcare challenges, and address social determinants of health. With hands-on training in primary care, substance use disorders, women鈥檚 health, and telehealth, students graduate ready to make an immediate impact.

This is more than mentorship鈥攊t鈥檚 a partnership in building a stronger, more compassionate healthcare system. Join us in shaping the future of nursing and improving the well-being of our communities.

Why Apply? 

  • Increase the number of nurse practitioners (NPs), trained to serve urban underserved populations.
  • Increase the diversity of the nursing workforce to better address the needs of the populations they serve by recruiting and supporting students and faculty, including those from diverse populations.
  • Build & expand academic-clinical partnerships to create experiential learning opportunities.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate a commitment to providing care to medically underserved populations and interest in working with a diverse population of patients.
  • Commit to one year of working and learning in a FQHC or an assignment designated by the Clinical Coordinator.
  • Fulfill academic and professional standards of the FNP role during the training in return for tuition assistance.
