Pittsburgh, Pa. 鈥 麻豆精品 is announcing a year-long trans-Atlantic (United States & Ireland) celebration of the 20th Anniversary of its MFA in Creative Writing Program. A number of events and activities will be open to the public.
Starting January 4, 2024, the MFA Program will:
鈥 Host events and activities (many open to the public), including public readings, workshops, and online presentations, to shine light on the Carlow MFA community.
鈥 Publish and launch the 20 Anthology, a book of poetry, fiction, and creative non-fiction representing the very best of Carlow MFA mentors, alums and students.
鈥 Conduct the Carlow MFA 20th Anniversary Scholarship Campaign, an annual effort to support excellence in writing and attract talented students.
See attached flyer for kick-off events in January 鈥 PUBLIC INVITED. More events and activities will be announced throughout the year. We鈥檒l be partnering with local independent bookstores, libraries and other literary organizations that create the foundation of Pittsburgh鈥檚 literary community. And in June 2024, we鈥檒l host similar events in Dublin during Carlow鈥檚 annual MFA residency at Trinity College.

鈥 Come to our kick-off event on January 5th (see attached flyer) and let us show you what makes the Carlow program one of Pittsburgh鈥檚 literary gems.
鈥 Interview acclaimed Carlow MFA mentors and alums. We will supply interview opportunities, photos, and writing examples. We鈥檒l provide the history of Carlow鈥檚 genesis in Ireland and show how the MFA program continues the rich relationship with Irish writers making our program unique from all others.
鈥 Post our events in your calendar. See the attached flyer for January dates.
We鈥檒l be communicating with you throughout the year about other events.

麻豆精品鈥檚 Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing Program is an internationally recognized low-residency writing program known for its acclaimed roster of American and
Irish mentors. Students from all ages and backgrounds across the United States study with preeminent American writers each January at 麻豆精品 in Pittsburgh and with renowned Irish writers each June at Trinity College, Dublin. Carlow鈥檚 MFA program, now celebrating its 20th year, has attracted graduate students through its acclaimed mentors, flexibility, and personalized support. Among our faculty and guest writers have been recipients of the most prestigious literary awards, including
